Steve

Steve grew up in Chicago. When he turned 18 he moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. In the meantime, he needed a job. Answering a help wanted ad for what he thought was a roadie job, he thought "awesome" Rock N Roll.

But it was for a high end floral and event design house. Not just any florist but, world renown Robert Isabell.

Isabell was the master of creating amazing parties for Studio 54 and the New York elite.

Steve's innate talent was shaped and fostered by the best of the best. He's been doing amazing designs ever since. Each one an original creative collaboration between the client and Steve the flower guy.

Gerri Ann

Gerri Ann grew in Melrose Park a little Italian community just west of Chicago. A creative soul always looking for ways to express her creativity, she opened an Art Gallery and Picture Frame Shop in the 1990's, but closed it after baby number 3. For the next 20 years she would picture frame on the side and work with her husband Vince in his technology company, VMedia Group, which has been rewarding but not all that creative.

Enter Steve, who likewise had decided to move to Southern California Wine Country. And together we decided to partner in Mambo fiori to create amazing florals for weddings and events here in SoCal. We look forward to providing our clients with a collaborative creative experience, beautiful florals and white glove service.

Thank you once again for providing the most beautiful and enchanting arrangements for the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Tribute Gala to Meryl Streep. All the arrangements were perfect to set the mood of the evening. I especially appreciated how you used three different, but complimentary styles of arrangements to alternate designs. As a Museum Director, former Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for New York City and Curator for the past 28 years, I have seen a great deal of Modern and contemporary art and design, some of it utilizing organic materials.

I can readily say that the orginality and creativity demonstrated by Steve Bruce in his design commissions transcends everything in high end floral design and enters the realm of art.

It is very rare indeed to find someone who possesses such a keen sense for the use of nature and flowers in particular. If these organic works wer not so ephemeral, I would certainly collect them!
